Former Tuol Sleng chief Duch asked for forgivenes from victims on the second day of the Khmer Rouge tribunals in Cambodia. Here are video recordings of the proceedings.
Kaing Guek Eav, better known as Duch, ran the torture center Tuol Sleng during the Khmer Rouge years in Cambodia (1975 – 1979). It is estimated that up to 17.000 people, many of the leaders in Khmer Rouge, were tortured at this prison and afterwards sent to be killed.
These videos show the tribunal proceedings from the second day of the substantial hearing – March 31th 2009. On this day Duch asked victims for forgiveness.
